Woman Shot Dead In Victoria

A woman was shot dead in Victoria, Laguna after being shot twice in the chest on the night of January 14 by her former live-in partner.
According to local police reports, the incident occured during an altercation between the two about getting back together. The victim was threatened with a gun, and was shot after trying to wrestle it away from the suspect.
The victim was identified as Leny Balayong, and was rushed to the hospital after the incident but was declared dead on arrival. Meanwhile, the suspect - identified as Efren Lirasan, had fled the scene. Balayong was 48-years old.
